IDENTIFY A REPETITIVE PROCESS YOU THINK CAN BE AUTOMATED.
Let's start with that thing you always relegate and leave for later. Or the process everybody seems to want to skip. Or that something you'd love to hire somebody to do but you can't afford.
Step 2
CAPTURE A BASELINE OF READINGS FROM THE AUTOMATION CANDIDATE PROCESS.
Install a couple of Irma sensors that show the effects of doing (or not doing something).
Step 3
CREATE AN AUTOMATION PROOF OF CONCEPT WITH IRMA SENSORS AND ACTUATORS.
Start simple, the first automation should be you not having to stand there checking things get done the way you want it.
Step 4
COMPARE AUTOMATION RESULTS WITH THE ORIGINAL BASELINE.
The automated data acquisition will give you a lot of unbiased information. Reduce the amount of steps in a process by having a automated controller do things for you. e.g: Adjust lights, alert of new guests coming in, check if trash has been taken out, etc.

FORMALIZE THE PROOF OF CONCEPT BY TURNING IT INTO A PERMANENT FIXTURE (WE CAN HELP YOU WITH THAT).
